What are The Pet Compass guides?
Our guides are printable PDF guides for traveling, adventuring and training with your dog and cat: vacations, hiking, camping, van life, bus, train & plane, cat leash training, cat toilet training and teaching your dog to stay home alone. Every guide is based on real life on the road with our black cat Zayan and our black dog Lola, with checklists and planner pages you can actually use.
How do I get my guide after I buy it?
Instantly. Our guides are digital downloads: right after payment you'll find your download link on the order confirmation page and in your confirmation email. Nothing is shipped, so you can start planning right away, even on a Sunday night.
Can I print the guides? Which paper sizes are included?
Yes, every guide is designed to be printed. Our English guides come in two clearly labeled PDFs, US Letter and A4, so they print perfectly in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and Europe. You can of course also read them on your phone, tablet or laptop.
Which languages are the guides available in?
All guides are available in English and German. The English versions are adapted for pet parents in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia.
Are the guides for dogs, cats or both?
Most of our travel and adventure guides cover dogs and cats together. Some are made for one species, like our cat leash training and cat toilet training guides, or our guide that teaches your dog to stay home alone. The product description always tells you who a guide is for.
Which payment methods can I use?
You can pay securely by credit or debit card and with PayPal. Depending on your country and device, further options such as Apple Pay or Google Pay may appear at checkout.
Can I return a guide or get a refund?
Because our guides are digital products that you can access and download immediately, we can't offer returns or refunds. If you have trouble with your download, just contact us and we'll help you get your guide.

Do the guides replace advice from a vet or official entry rules?
No. Our guides help you plan and prepare, but they don't replace advice from your veterinarian. Entry requirements for pets change regularly, so always check the current rules of your destination country and airline before you travel.
